ALFA is dedicated to representing and serving our members. If you are
not a member, we hope you accept a special invitation to join our
growing, dynamic group of owners, operators and supporters of assisted
living. We believe we have more to offer than any statewide association
representing the assisted living industry.
What Type of Membership is Right for Me?
Choose from these categories the membership that best suits yourself or your organization.
Provider Member
Any company or individual that owns, manages, or operates an assisted living facility or similar type of residence would be classified as a provider member of ARIZONA ALFA.
Industry Partner
Businesses, organizations and associations involved in health care.
Government
Government agencies involved in or having an interest in the assisted living industry and long-term care. Also, college or university professors engaged in assisted living industry research.

Highest Quality Care Providers
The diversity of assisted living is reflected in our membership. We have providers ranging in size from 4 beds to over 200 beds, along with a variety of specialized care. Our providers strive to maintain an environment that meets the needs of the residents we serve as well as provide a homelike setting.
Legislative and Regulatory Representation
Arizona ALFA provides members with legislative and regulatory representation before the Arizona Legislature and other state regulatory agencies, assisted living educational seminars for continuing education requirements and professional development, policy and procedure updates, ARIZONA ALFA newsletters and industry updates which will keep you informed about the latest trends and news for assisted living in Arizona, a discounted general insurance program, a listing of products and services offered by our preferred Industry Partners and a variety of other member services to numerous to mention.

Legislative Monitoring and Involvement
Karen Barno, Arizona ALFA's Executive Director, and our association's lobbyist to educate legislators about industry specific issues. In addition, they lobby to protect resident's rights, freedom of choice and address other specific issues as they relate to the assisted living industry in Arizona.
Operational and Licensure Technical Assistance When providers need advice and assistance with the Department of Health Services (DHS), the staff of Arizona ALFA is available to answer questions.
Training programs
This includes Manager and Caregiver training programs, professional education, workshops and webinars, these courses/programs are provided in conjunction with the Arizona Senior Housing Institute and approved through the Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) and the Private Post-Secondary School Board.
Regional Meetings
These meetings provide training to our members in various parts of the state.

Our association's electronic newsletter informs memebers of specific issues which affect the Arizona Assisted Living Industry.
National Legislative Monitoring-Working with National ALFA, we address national issues that affect the assisted living industry nationwide.
If you are a provider of goods or services to the Assisted Living Industry, we urge you to join ARIZONA ALFA now. Our industry providers are constantly looking for alternative sources and suppliers to the Assisted Living Industry currently unknown to them.

Provider Member

- Independent Provider- A free standing, independent community that is not licensed or affiliated with an assisted living community.
- Assisted Living Center-Any assisted living community, licensed through the Arizona Department of Health Services, with 11 or more beds.
- Assisted Living Home-Any assisted living community, licensed through the Arizona Department of Health Services , with 10 or less beds.
Businesses, organizations and associations involved in health care.
Government
Government agencies involved in or having an interest in the assisted living industry and long-term care. Also, college or university professors engaged in assisted living industry research.
